After School Care

Parents' schedules do not always match the school-day schedules of their children. The Good Shepherd Lutheran School After School Care program provides a convenient service for working parents who need a supervised environment for their children after school hours. The After School Care Program is a super fun, safe way for your child to spend a late afternoon.

Hours of Operation

For the 2009-10 year After School Care will be offered as the need is determined. The hours of the After School Care Program are 2:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M.*, Monday through Friday excluding school holidays.

Supervised activities are provided during each school day from the start of the school year to the last day of the school year. However, the Program will not operate on those days where there are no children scheduled to attend and the school is closed.

Use of the program

Parents are to notify the Program as far in advance as possible when their children will be attending. Please call 304-1943 indicating name and time of attendance. Regular users of the program should use the same process to notify when their children will NOT be attending.

Drop-off/Pickup

The program supervisor will record attendance at the start of school care. If a student is scheduled for care but is absent the supervisor will immediately call the parent. After school, parents must pick up their child/children before 5:30 PM**. Parents must sign the attendance register when picking up their child/children.

Parents must pick up their child(ren) by 5:30 p.m. to avoid a per-quarter hour fee of $2.50 which will be assessed at the end of the month.
